Recycling Process

how_recycling_worksRecycling is a process that takes used materials and makes them in to new products.

By recycling we can reduce the consumption of raw materials, save energy and help avoid air pollution and greenhouse gases. The key principle behind recycling is to extract the valuable resources in the waste materials, including plastics, paper and metals.

When extracted, these resources can then be used to create other, environmentally friendly, materials. For example, recycled glass is ground down, and mixed with other powdered materials in order to create a form of road surfacing. Recycling is a key focus of The All Clear Company and all waste we collect is influenced and abides to the waste hierarchy.

The All Clear Company and Recycling

Around 450 million tonnes of waste is produced in the UK every year!

In the UK we currently only recycle around 20% of that waste.

By simply recycling:

  • Paper
  • Cardboard
  • Glass
  • Plastics
  • Metals

We can help stop over 20 million tonnes of CO2 ending up in our atmosphere.
