Isn't it funny how that house you thought had plenty of room when you bought it a few years ago now seems overcrowded and lacks space for anything? Does it seems like in order to find anything in your cupboards or closet you have to remove the entire contents? A good junk removal session can make all the difference.

Most people seem to be collectors whether they intend to be or not. If you don't think that you are one of these people take a look around. You may have stacks upon stacks of magazines that you have been saving for a day when you actually have time to sit down and read. Or you may be storing that old coffee pot for an emergency in case your new one breaks. Perhaps your attic, basement or spare room is filled with old pieces of furniture and odds and ends that you either weren't sure how to dispose of or thought might come in useful again sometime in the future.

If you want to make the most of your house and the space it has, one of the best things you can do is to get rid of all the accumulated junk. Even if you don't think that you have collected that much, chances are that once you begin looking around and really clearing things out you will be surprised just how much stuff you have collected.

Step by step junk removal

The best way to get started on junk removal in your home is by taking one room at a time and clearing out the room, all the closets, cupboards and drawers. Decide what should be discarded by asking yourself these three questions:

  • Have I used this item in the last year and if so how many times?
  • Do I expect to use it anytime within the next 3 months?
  • Does my keeping this item serve any real purpose or does it actually belong in the junk removal pile?

junk removalFor every item you decide you really don't need or have use for you will be able to put it into one of two piles.

Donate: For those items that are still in good condition or can be repaired that someone else may need. Charities can always benefit from those items such as clothing, baby furniture or even old furniture or appliances that could be used by someone who can't afford to purchase these things new.

Rubbish: This pile should contain broken items and items that are not going to be wanted by anyone else.

DIY or using a junk removal company

If you are going to do it yourself, then you will also need to divide the ‘Rubbish’ pile into what can be recycled, and once you’ve managed to get it to the tip, put each item into the correct section.

Using a junk removal company like The All Clear Company is a much easier option. You won’t have to worry either about how to get the rubbish from your home to the tip or about recycling it.  We’ll take care of all of that for you. In addition, we can also get rid of anything you might need to dispose of which could be considered harmful or toxic in the manner designated for such waste.

Once you’ve finished your junk removal project, you will be surprised how much space you have and how much better your home looks!

Call The All Clear Company now if you’d like to use our junk removal service to give you more space.
