WEEE is a directive which is set to collect, recycle and recover targets for all electrical goods by the manufacturers. The company is expected to have adequate infrastructure for free collection of WEEE from households in city. The composition of electrical goods is complex and it creates environmental issues if not treated properly. These waste goods contain potential harmful chemicals and substances including toxins which give rise to environmental hazards. Therefore the collection of such wastage is to be carried out in an ecological friendly manner. The WEEE regulations and responsibility apply to retailers, importers, producers, waste management industry, households, businesses, local authorities, etc.
